Another shameless Solo Leveling copy and paste. This book copies the missing father trope, MC has a mother and sister that he cares for more than life itself, and he uses a key word to reanimate the dead (similar to “Arise”). The author messes up the math behind the MC’s progression in nearly every chapter. It is not even funny. Furthermore, he will say one thing in one chapter, then say another in the next. Actually, within the same chapter, he said that only 10% of 18yos Awaken, yet then he said that the MC was the first 180yo to Awaken! Sigh. He also said that the MC regenerates 1MP/sec in one chapter, then a few chapters later, the MC regenerates 140MP in 10 minutes? The author also gets the calculations for MP gain and Killing Points wrong. Don’t even get me started on the progression/power scaling. It makes no sense whatsoever. If a superhuman is less than C rank, they are worse than fodder. D rank superhumans and below have no use in even the lowest ranked gate. Why write the world’s power system this way? Additionally, the MC becomes an A rank superhuman after clearing his FIRST gate, which happens to be the lowest rank gate…. He gained strength from each enemy he killed, so how is it that he became A rank after killing 20ish C rank or below monsters (+ a B rank boss). Grammatically, the book isnt terrible. There are still spelling errors (now -> not) and noun replacement errors (Gina -> Mira). I would not recommend reading this book.
Couldn’t make it far before I couldn’t ignore the poor grammar. It is a pain to essentially autocorrect while reading. The premise is interesting, but the execution isn’t particularly.
Overall average story. Concept was interesting, and I do have to hand it to the author, he made sure the calculations were accurate. I got to chapter 300 (out of 470), and the MC is still in the 3rd stage of cultivation. Some BS has to happen for him to reach the peak in the remaining chapters. Power scaling is all wonky. It is very annoying when the author inserts himself within the dialogue with a character’s line being literally: “ts pmo rn bruh” or “I’m cooked” or another modern slang.
Entertaining read overall. Some out-of-character behavior was used to advance plot. The ending was very rushed, and the final chapter is lackluster… Don’t expect realistic power scaling. 7/10
Rough read. The grammar leaves much to be desired.
Clunky sentence structure.
I hope the writing improves. The grammar is subpar.
This should be mastery
Story dropped at the end because the author made enough money from it, apparently. I couldn’t continue reading the book past, like, the 24th chapter because the story was so nonsensical. MC will have stats in the range of 10-20 and be able to one-shot monsters with stats up to 300! How does that make sense at all? There is no power scaling whatsoever. The book overall seems like it was written by an immature, nearly-illiterate chimpanzee.
Cringe. Hopefully this novel is like Supremacy Games where it has a rough, cringy start but turns out to be elite.
