Sorry if it's disappointing but I think there are a lot of COTE fan-fics that aim their MCs to be geniuses better than Ayanokoji. My goal wasn't to make MC better than Ayanokoji, but to show his struggles to keep up with other freaks in that school with the help of the system (I am trying not to overuse it). My idea is also to use his low self-esteem to make him underestimate himself more than he should but I hope that part was already noticed in the past chapters.

You can say Ichinose's default affection for everybody is fairly high. As long as you are polite and honest she will like you. The max aff. is 100 but that doesnt mean the girl with 100 aff will absol. be in love with mc

Considering how humiliated she felt asking him, she would take it personally if he just refused not to mention after he said he would agree to it under these circumstances. No reason to make enemies over such a small thing. But her unreasonable task is another matter altogether. He is still trying to be a decent person. If somebody made a promise to you and then breaks it because "they don't want to", would you be fine with it? Humans aren't meant to do only the things they want or feel like doing.

My bad, I messed up points, it's supposed to be 7, not 6. She had 2 when MC used his [Eyes of the Reader] on her. I forgot to explain this but basically, even if her affection went up due to changes in his behavior, he didn't use his skill on her before those changes. He needed to record one's affection otherwise any changes wouldn't count into his quest. (my mistake for not clarifying it)
