The world is experiencing a period of peace, but ten years ago there was an end to a long ideological war between the nation of Celestia and its allies, against Stroika and their respective allies. The war was about political polarization; Celestia led the capitalist nations who advocated the freedom of strong private enterprise and the use of magic; Stroika led communists who advocate strong control of the state and the magic of its citizens; the communists used an arcane force that nearly destroyed the world, in the end the capitalists won thanks to the sacrifice of Celestia's army leader, Astaroth. Yet it was the feats of Astaroth's pupils who were also elite members of the Royal Guard, who proved to be extremely powerful by earning the title of "three great legendary warrior mages" that brought them countless victories. The world seemed to be passing through a period of peace and prosperity, a new generation of mages entering the scene of the new warriors of the nations inspired by the heroes of the last war; there are still other dangers like terrorists and more obscure things.
