They say the dragons in Skyrim are just arguing with each other when they fight.
Lol
This Ascended Race would actually not be very strong. They could only affect the world with their Words. While other Ascended Races, craft magic items with their strong [Will]s. The greatest advantage to becoming an ascended race is a stronger [Will] to make better Magic Items. They lose a primary advantage that all other races would normally have. They could not make magic items, since their will directly affects the world.
Yes, but it would have to have something changed to make their soul's different. Perhaps to make a race that can use Thu'um -> [Will] is mutated and can cause direct changes without a usual [Filter], but with language, but in this case, they wouldn't be able to use [Filter]'s normally or make magic items at all since all the world is made by [Will]. The Spirits made the world with their [Will], so this race that could use Thu'um would be closer to how the Spirits were.
Yep. Now I am thinking how the elves would look at Odel and his Thûlmen. Might be an interesting encounter for them.
No. At most, you would need a magic item that could make a 'fireball'. In this world, magic has rules and a person can't just speak to change the world. Instead they either can only effect it through some [Filter]. The [Filter] limits what it can do. Unless you had a powerful Legendary [Filter] that lets you 'control the elements' within a certain range, it's not possible.
Language is used in magic rituals in order to guide intent behind [Will] used. Or are you looking for something like: 'You say words and a fireball appears'?
Not right now lol. If you want to write your own fanfiction with these world-building components, be my guest. I'll make sure to check it out.
True, middle earth works in a similar way.
I was planning on something about other worlds in the future. If you read the Auxiliary chapter I put out, I mentioned the History of the Ages. There are other worlds created by the Spirits. One of these could be Skyrim or even Middle Earth. So perhaps in the future, if I still want to continue to book after I finish writing Odel's adventures, he could visit those places.
What are you thinking? lol
You are exactly right. And some of them will hate Odel.
Yes, that would be something an ascended race could have. A special language that interacts with their [Will].
Yes, because I think it would make a beautiful story. Enduring for the sake of the good. I just need to know if I missed any plot holes in my design. The Thûlmen will be magnificent paragons of virtue in a fallen world. Examples to all races, of what they could be but are not.
It's just the form the Thûl takes, like a planet with a ring. It orbits the soul, compressing it. So the symbol appears on their bodies in the same way, as a ring.
The Thûlmen are unique. Most Ascended Races only improve on their [Body] and [Will]. They don't add anything to their soul. They are a new spiritually distinct race so it is technically the birth of a new Age.
Perhaps some Thûl would do that, but not Odel's. His will just have to do with losing anything he owns at the end other than magic items. His Thûl will be called [Charity].
This is a good question. I think only the offspring of Thûlmen can become Thûlmen. Perhaps they could still have offspring with other races? Something to think about.
No, there will be special circumstances during the ritual. One of the components is the [Aspect of Death] that will come after Odel after 1 year. The [Aspect of Death] is a living curse that would have hunted him down until he died. But he will transform it into 64 Thûl.
I had planned that the 64 Thûl will be formed during the Ascension ceremony. You can only inherit a parents [Thûl] if the parent agrees and the child accepts. There will be many struggles for parents handing over guaranteed suffering for their children.
