It has to do with losing focus, or focusing on only one thing, and losing perspective of the surroundings (people, consecuences...); is an interesting psycology factor.

The fist hit him and made Akainu feel pressed while being crushed, feeling the pressure and his small body was nothing compared to the fist, as he was lifted off the ground. This are my suggestions, and they are some of the most popular manga/anime of sports that you could use, and also make into games, like instead of Mario Kart and the like, you could "create it" with something like "Chaos Karts" with Sonic, MegaMan and other characters; and the same with football and other sports.
