Thankfully, after about 2 hours of doing this, she finally fully healed and her breathing finally returned to normal. Steady. Even. The kind of breathing that meant sleep, not the shallow ragged kind that meant the edge of something worse.

As I rode the bantha, I began thinking of where I was currently in the timeline. Did the Clone Wars happen? Did Luke finally save Anakin, or am I stuck on this planet with Star Wars' Mary Sue, a.k.a. Rey Palpatine Skywalker. I mean, of all the places and times I could have ended up, it had to be here — a desert planet with two suns, sand everywhere, and the very real possibility that I was smack in the middle of one of the most iconic fictional universes ever put to screen. Or page. Or both.

I found an unexpected and, I thought, rather elegant solution. I needed to train my flight speed, endurance, strength, and also learn to hold my breath. What environment could provide all the necessary stress while also serving as natural camouflage from prying eyes? The ocean, of course.
