So, 4 unarmed civilian children could do the same?

What is wrong with eastern novels and dumb developments like this
What does that even mean
I read to ch 106. The story has a messed up pacing in my opinion. So much happened but its’s only been 2 days. Anticipated events take forever to come. Then his cultivation progress is very quick at first then quickly drops when he gets better conditions. Mind you, he’s stumbling upon every possible opportunity known to man. It makes it seem like cultivation is impossible if you didn’t have the cheats he had. Like how are you almost dying cultivating a qi refining technique even with all you have? Then what about the people who don’t have it, how did they cultivate? The side characters are largely nonconsequencial, to be fair, he is trying to detach from, the mortal world. The world background is lacking but it’s not a big concern. I dropped this book because of a series of dumb chapters. He runs into some sect beauty and they instantly fall in love and start exchanging high value array techniques and designs out of nowhere. Literally, he approaches a cultivator in the middle of nowhere, shields her from the rain as she is drawing some array, she acts dumb and flees in embarrassment, they meet again on the same day, she acts very suspicious then invites mc into her vehicle, gives the mc high value medicine, then gives him her family inheritance array techniques, then the mc reveals it only takes him 10 minutes to move from never seeing an array to designing his own, then she gives him more high value medicine. It is perhaps the worse romantic interest introduction I have ever seen. They both seem to turn muddy brained around each other and the author expects us to gobble it up as if he hasn’t portrayed the mc to be smart and cautious. Then to make things even worse, so random big shot likes the girl and hears she was talking to the mc, then he decides to kill the mc on the spot. The dumbest development I have seen. I decided to bulldoze through the love interest bs but then this? I can’t continue with poor story writing like this.
Worst romantic interaction I have ever seen in a book. He sees a cultivator in the middle of no where and approaches. He complains about being low on qi then proceeds to use “sword lights” to protect her from the rain. She turns into an imbecile when she meets him. They happen to run into each other again immediately. She reveals his government name and his address and he brushes that off. She invites him for a ride and he didn’t consider why. She gave him expensive tea, no questions asked. Gave him the most valuable inheritance, no questions asked again. Then he proceeds to show her it only took him 10 mins to understand it. Wtf is happening here? Did the author drink or bash his head or something. This is where I drop this.

I never got the obsession of Chinese mcs with destroying their surroundings. Let me test my telekinesis, picks up a vase instead of a pillow. Let me just break my wall to test my punch strength. Like wtf
