Plus it would have given him ample time to get to know Xiaotao and some other female leads for the harem without it looking forced.) until he had gained Ice Empress than he would have been able to cross the borders and join Sun Moon Academy considering how stupidly talented Yuhao is as a Soul Engineer. The same for the Body Sect, you think Du Busi wouldn't make an example over someone who has such a high level body spirit!? By doing that he could have easily hid from Tang San and his lackeys detection while getting rapport with his allies and increasing his strength. But NO! Apparently using creative freedom in stories is a crime!
