So, let me get this straight: the character's whole deal is conquering the world to avenge his dead father. Honestly, that's pretty nonsensical. I mean, seeking revenge is just plain foolish, right? It won't lead to anything meaningful, just a brief moment of satisfaction. Plus, it's baffling how he plans to get back at someone who's no longer around. Maybe he wants to prove he's better than his dad, but it sounds like a whole lot of insecurity and low self-esteem, don't you think? I reckon it'd be way more interesting if the character had a more substantial reason for his actions, something that drives him and helps him move past all this revenge stuff. That way, the story would have more depth and make the MC way more captivating for the readers.
this was a very unsatisfactory result, it was almost 40 chapters waiting for the MC to kill Shadya, and she escapes. and Irina is so annoying, it just gets in the way of Mc every time... I hope there is no reconciliation with shadya, but it looks like there will be...
I really liked the beginning of the novel, however the existence of the Devil Face ruined everything... he's basically there watching while the mc is with Dongmei doing +18 things... And then there's the part where he's forced to evolve things between him and dongmei because of the contract, that's pretty uncomfortable to read at least for me. but the writing is good, like the author's other novels, so if you don't mind the reasons I mentioned, it's worth reading.
I never said I didn't like the novel, just the reincarnation part is uncomfortable. and I only gave an example when I mentioned "dual cultivation", because I liked the reincarnation part... and even leaving everything else aside, he is lying to one of his wives, Liu Ying, about an extremely important matter, and that's the part that makes me a little uncomfortable. I'm just giving my opinion. It would be nice if he told her the truth, it would give more realism to the story.
I really don't like when some authors put reincarnation through body possession, especially when they lie to his family. imagine some old man possessing your son body, and you have no idea. it gets much worse in this type of novel, where the mc is probably going to be romantically linked with the boy's mother, And she has no idea that her son is dead and that her son's body is being used by a stranger, and even worse is that she thinks she's in love with her own son... that's one of the reasons I really like the "Dual Cultivation" novel on this site, the reincarnation is very well done, and I don't feel uncomfortable.
