so being real here for a sec, I just started writing and didn't think it would end up being a thing, so I didn't have a plot outline or anything for the first few chapters. Anyway I first decided for the MC to Ally with monsters because I thought it could be kind of kinky at first, but when I actually sat down and did a plot outline I realized that I had already seeded later conflicts by the goddess being in decline and it would be cool if the MC ended up having to fight large scale conflicts with different religious factions/races and having Mackenzie getting hurt would be a good way for him to start getting used to killing humanoids and taking his first steps into brutality.

I wrote out a conversation about how MC was worried about having kids, but he had the system to prevent it, but apparently it wasn't copied/ accidentaly deleted. I will probably rework that section sometime soon since it affects the narrative

Hey thanks for the corrections, I am planning on going over the story after getting a little deeper into it, but I will definitely reference your comments when I do. Also I will never not be mad that air gear ended.

the xp curve is exponential, so the MC essentially immediately jumped up 10x his level, if the levels had the same requirements. the exponential xp curve is also why even trained rights get stuck around lvl.20, because you either need ro fight something higher level then yourself or kill like a hundred thousand lower ranked enemies.

He just said he wasn't sure okay, next chapter I plan on having him agree, but I thought it would be super weird if a relatively normal dude just immediately agreed to have loads of kids with ostensibly monsters without at least taking a minute to think about it.

I am pretty sure that I mentioned when introducing Zarra that she was wearing tattered cloth clothing. So I kinda assumed that people would carry that over to the other goblins. It is also worth mentioning that making cloth is pretty a involved process, but I am planning on covering it in the next couple of chapters as the general development of the camp improves.
My efforts didn't go unnoticed among the goblins, and soon, nods of approval and the occasional word of thanks, in their surprisingly, quickly improving speech, becoming commonplace. Even as I contributed to the camp's tasks, I would still make time every day to study magic, regularly practicing with Zarra in the evenings. Due to my mom's instance on me learning various forms of magic, spirituality, and occultism, I of course had practiced meditation. For those curious, it really only takes drying out poppy sap to make opium. Although it is usually done by laying out in the sun.

so I am shooting for one 1500-2000ish word chapter a day, but if I did nothing but write all day, I could manage maybe 3 a day, but I would hate life. Also I would like to build up a bit of a backlog because I am basically posting as soon as they are done right now.

So everything used in rituals has intent and meaning behind it irl. So I tried to stay true to that here. Like purple candles are associated with divination and psychic power. While various herbs can be used to cleanse a space of "energies" or spirits, sage is common, but I chose juniper because that is what was traditionally used in saining rituals(cleansing ritual) in Scotland which is the origin of the MC's last name Campbell. Trying to keep stuff consistent between the MC's background and the use of magic so far even if nobody cares.
Alexandra struck a match, carefully lighting the candles one by one. She then took the juniper stick, lit it, and began to dance gracefully around the room, its smoke billowing in her wake, dust motes fluttered in the weak candlelight casting eerie shadows on the stone walls adorned with ancient tapestries. After completing the cleansing ritual, she placed the juniper back in the brass dish. it was the first thing I found that crossed the threshold of depravity I was hoping to hint at the MCs twisted fantasies. Also the story was kinda strange, but personally I thought the art good.
