Dixie was running. She didn't know the why or the where. She just felt compelled to run like someone being chased. Her surroundings are that of a foggy beach. She can vaguely make out an ocean of white water. Her shoes crunched against the hard sand as she flew by like a breeze. That in itself was an anomaly since she had zero endurance. Dixie set her glass down and pulled her sister into an embrace. She could understand. Although their father had always been fonder of Bonnie, he was still warm towards her. She loved him and now her affections were dwindling under the neglect and lack of consideration. She had never anticipated him becoming this cold. Neither had Bonnie. The DeMont family was perfectly happy until the matriarch was killed in a car accident. Her death rocked their father. He was never the same again and became distant with his daughters. The divide became that much worse when he got involved with that gold-digging whore who was 20 years younger than him. Their step- mother was around the same age as them. How could he not see through her intentions? What kind of brain fuck had she subjected him to until he became enamored enough to wed her? And he hadn't even asked for their opinion!!! Viktor could now see that the rebel knights far exceeded his own knights.
