If the shovel didn’t kill Ryoma and the Poison did, where in Angie would be the culprit either way, one has to consider that if it wasn’t the shovel, Ryoma could have been laying on the ground dying from the poison at a slower rate thanks to Kirumi tying his arm with a tourniquet. So…let’s say Ryoma was laying on the ground unconscious and dying when Himiko stumbled upon the scene. If it happened fast enough, Himiko could have killed Angie before Ryoma actually passed away from the poison. Thereby making her the true culprit of the case since she would have gotten her “kill” accomplished before Angie did.

Oh the teasing comment makes sense now…maybe she didn’t actually ship it, or she did but it was also a ploy to get them in the same area where she could execute her plan of attack. That’s such a wacky FA, but at the same time it’s such a mundane thing that I wouldn’t be surprised if someone forgot and accidentally opened a door- especially because then it would be BOOM poison time 🫡

At least it puts it out in front of everyone that isn’t as sharp as him that: “Hey, so this specific scenario? It ain’t it. So no dummies ought to be bringing it up again. I’ve made us move towards another more plausible angle of the case faster.” Or at least that’s normally how I interpret his actions when it comes to throwing out really dumb claims to mess with others. No doubt it’s probably a little fun either way.

I hope this “sleep” the headset causes is a loophole for Rin to take advantage of. The only alternative I can see of it being bad is if it’s not “restful/refreshing” type of sleep and only surface level sleep. REM sleep is what would save Rin if he can get it through the machine, but the fact his brain will be somewhat active while in the virtual world means there’s a possibility he won’t get that restfulness he desperately needs.
