Wow. Why the heck did he kill Quintus? He easily could've legally challenge the Apprentice's claim to the vial. After all, he found it after fighting a tomb full of Draugr, invested most of the items involved in it's repair, and wasn't even paid for its retrieval in any way, making him the legal owner, as long as he pays for the repair and mammoth tusk material costs. What stumps me even more is the fact that Quintus somehow got greedy for the vial when he willingly gave it up in the game after it brought about his master's end, even if the latter was happy??? I usually am not that sensitive to character breaks, but this kind of bs just made me drop this entire novel. Killing Quintus just because he may want the vial as well isn't just ruthless. It's heartless. The MC used to be somewhat reasonable. Even if his 'eye for an eye policy' is a bit harsh, he at least used to have a semblance of Honor. With a capital H! But what the heck? I can understand if a story has some stumbling blocks for readers, but this one just made my enjoyment fall and break its neck.
