PoV transition isn't a smooth unseen process for you. Mostly because you do it randomly and for no real reason. A good reason would be him getting knocked out and forcing a switch to another character. Going from third person to first person while your first person PoV character isn't unconscious isn't just silly... It's downright dumb for an author to do. It rips the reader out of the immersion.

I've figured out another thing that stops this story from being better. You're putting in random weeb scenarios here like you're trying to force this into being an anime. But for my griping, I'm not saying the story is bad. But it could be better.

Okay author... Why is it always the "collarbone"? You can't think of anything else in the area? Neck, shoulder, chest? Is it some weird preference of yours, or merely a lack of a fundamental author skill, diversifying?

So, author, I do hope you grow out of the habit of making everything muttered soon. Muttering is not talking. At least not like you keep using it. To mutter is to speak low or under your breath, usually in annoyance or disgust. It's not meant to be heard by someone intentionally.

Cats are less natural hunters, you are alluding to? At least most cats don't need to group up against their pet like nature's chumps. I mean lions do but they're the worst cat anyways. And dogs knowing affection isn't unique. Cats show a lot of affection if you treat them right. But if you don't treat them with the individual care they want, yeah, they're not that likeable. But dogs are so stupid you can mistreat them and they'll still wag their tail like retards. And ancient people were exceptionally cruel to everything. Makes sense they'd want a dumb dog over a cat who always respects itself and its health.
