Very few if any complaints so far. I’ll admit my expectations were low after sifting through so much terrible Ben 10 fanfiction on this app but I think I would have been pleasantly surprised regardless. Though the story does follow a relatively generic and predictable format (kinda hard to avoid this early on due to the progression system of ss), I think the first nightmare was written very well and I like the way the omnitrix’s abilities and Ben 10 lore have been adapted so far. Will definitely keep reading.
They are though, every divine aspect we’ve seen to date is an inheritance of a god. Sunny’s is Shadow, Nephis’ Sun, Mordret War.
So did he just admit that he can see memories descriptions?
Interesting story, well written, just wish it was longer and more fleshed out, into a full story as I feel there’s a lot that could’ve been done with the concept. Overall a really great one-shot.
I had pretty low expectations for what I expected to be another sloppy Chinese translation, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this is not bad at all. The character dialogue and interactions feel surprisingly natural for a translation, the plot development is interesting so far, and the mc seems like a generally competent but not overpowered character so far, which seems to be rarer and rarer to find in this app.
Not a huge fan so far, the first nightmare idea is kinda cool, it feels like an attempt to mix nephis’ first nightmare with the trial sunny went through to get Nightmare. My problem with it though, is that it is just not executed very well. We are not given enough context each life, or even beforehand really, so I felt much of the jumping around was just pointless and confusing, and just kind of a poor attempt to have a future example of how great the mc’s willpower is. Really just think it needs to be clarified a little better, I understand the point is that the mc himself is confused and lost, but that does not mean it is fun to read while also being so.
I wanted to get this in quick because I have a sneaking suspicion this’ll all be wrong in a couple chapters when we finally see the lineage of storm god. The story is written super well, so much so I’d argue there are chapters in it better than some of the recent shadow slave ones. You could tell me this is a G3 Smurf account and I just might believe you. I like the choice to make much of his progression similar yet parallel to Sunny’s, by giving him his own daemon inheritance and summons, but using a different theme entirely. I am worried that the mc has been getting a little too powerful in relation to other characters in the story, which might mean there is a nonsense plot convenient rebuff incoming, but it hasn’t happened yet and I’m no Cassie to see the future.
I don’t think that’s fair, I’ve given my honest thoughts and opinions every review, I’m just usually more inclined to leave a warning if I think the work is bad or misleading. I admit maybe this one wasn’t very helpful, but I was just kinda frustrated because I thought this could have been a cool concept for a story but was wasted with unrealistic character interactions, and a pretty annoying main character in my opinion.
7 out of the current 22 chapters in, and this is as close of a 1 to 1 adaptation from sinbad to shadow slave as it could be. Him mysteriously awakening at birth is just a bad plot device to put him immediately into the actual sinbad story. What is the point of this? No shadow slave characters are being used, the kingdoms and power systems from magi are just renamed to shadow slave ones and nothing else changes. I truly cannot see a reason for reading this so far, maybe it gets much better later on, but wasting 7 chapters on verbatim recaps of sinbad is bad enough for me.
Welp we now know one of the nine supposedly killed weaver twice, and they were the ones who brought about the daemon vs gods war.
