From the way I see it, what if there's some skill that disconnects one from the world? it basically makes it useless and having such an ability, one would most likely be too dependent on it.

In the central room at the lowest level of the cave, the Grand Priest was meditating at the center of the cave. The Grand Priest was from the same generation as Konoha's Legendary Sannins. His body was extremely muscular. However, he had numerous sword scars and burn scars all over his body. Even his face had two huge sword scars forming an X on his face. This is just the basic overview of Mythos as it'll be the focus point in the first Two Arcs. We'll get more into the world building as we get into the story as I can't give some things away this early. The Emperor had accused the Pennyworths of treason, claiming that they had plotted against him and the crown. He claimed that they went against the agreement the founding fathers of the empire came to. The accusations were baseless, but the emperor managed to fool even heaven's will when they brought up the contract the different families made during the empire's conception.
