Wouldn't that just be the same thing? The way I understand it, the master-disciple relationship is very important in China and thus in Soul Land. The master's connections(Good and Bad) are now the students, so Cheng Xiao would naturally be aligned with Spirit Hall.

That is a good idea, using soul bones to cover weak points. I honestly don't know why Rongrong, as the heir of the richest sect, doesn't have an offensive soul bone already. It only makes sense.

However, the thought of getting offensive skills through soul bones does make sense. It just won't be anywhere near a full set of hundred-thousand year bones. Even a full set of 10,000 year soul bones would be hard to get.
