I'm getting déjà vu for some reason. Is this scene inspired from another novel?
As he was looking at them some information came to his mind that what he was looking at were called imps, the lowest creatures in the abyss not even fit to be called demons

looking at his side, he could see an overturned truck not far away from him crashed in to some parked cars, his eyes widened as he realized he was hit and would probably die if not transported to a hospital, his eye's started losing strength and closing, his mind going wild from the fear of death.

As per usual, Zane woke up feeling the need for more rest, he spent the night gaming and reading novels he got ready for work and went out to get a taxi, as he was crossing the road still feeling dizzy he heard a scream and a honk before it all went dark.

There weren't many of these creatures so I found it fast, it turns out to be a 'Nundu', a beast from Africa, and possibly the most dangerous beast in the world. As Scamander noted, "They are incredibly territorial creatures, but once they accept you as kin they are like an overprotective mother." I wonder what kind of relationship he had with one to give them that assessment.
