Shaw's power is to absorb Kinetic energy, and any energy behaving in a kinetic way, for example a nuclear blast if it is point blank directed at him, missiles, punches, anything with force or impact is just feeding him. That is true, and yet also not accurate: - They didn't know Fugaku had the mangekyou, that is true. - The Uchiha were, although being annoyed by the old leadership, otherwise stable. - The Uchiha supported and backed the Fourth Hokage, who was presumed to be fair, and presumably would have given a chance to every clan including the ones backing him, for example the Uchiha. - Uchiha geniuses were lauded with incredible achievements and legacy right after the 4th Hokage took office, (Obito, Shisui) - That was ancestral Uchiha land, and their compound was at its center. - The Uchiha consistently betrayed and refused to follow those that betrayed the village (Madara, Setsuna) - They were the military police force, it is their job to protect the village and its people, a job they took pride in, before the heavy suppression which started AFTER the 9-tails rampage. For this and other reasons the Uchiha were solid, and a perfect choice to act in the defense of the village against the Nine Tails. Reasons it made no sense to stop them. #1 It was Danzo's idea: A proven retard that always made things worse, the only one that either ignored or actually couldn't see it was the 3rd Hokage; no one should ever trust this thing, end point. - The entire birth was a secret, and the only Uchiha to know was Kushina's best friend who only learned about it the same day, and didn't know it would be that day, there was no time to plan, nor execute a plan, and if there was it made no sense as they were backing the 4th AND would have needed to move the entire clan, which wasn't the case. - There is reason to believe there was a single enemy, and the Uchiha have a history of going against single extremists in their clan, which would have been further proof of loyalty, friendship, and backing to the current new leadership. - At this point the loses from being involved in something like this would have been and ultimately became catastrophic for the Uchiha. The only two points of doubt would be: - Sharingan in Nine-Tails eyes (which makes no sense as it was a mangekyou and the sharingan showed was a three tomoe) - A betrayer or betrayers (which again Uchiha have proven at least twice before to go against) In conclusion even with reasonable doubt towards them it made no sense to stop them and doing so was in fact a bigger show of betrayal to the village than blaming an entire clan for something you can't prove they did, as they were later obviously accounted for. After the fact, another reason the plot is stupid, and Danzo is a retard that only drains village resources is putting the blame on the Uchiha when: - Aside from all that the Yamanaka exist and Hiruzen's wife was murdered, leaving behind a relatively intact body, the only reason it wouldn't be checked or corroborated is pure sentimentality and retardation, both of which have no place when investigating such a village wide incident. - Literally in any realistic version of this happening, in such a fictional world the Uchiha would have been absolved of suspicion nearly instantly and Danzo's schemes would have failed. - Actually Danzo would have been kicked out or executed for his crimes with Orochimaru, that the 3rd obviously knew, which would have prevented him from interfering and thus still saved the village. - Because realistically in such a situation as chaotic as it was the only retard willing to focus on a single clan about to lend aid instead of the situation at hand is Danzo, as the 4th was fighting alone, the 3rd was fighting in a group and had no time to do so nor the manpower to send, so in all actuality they really would have been ignored or appreciated instead of the BS that happened.
