This was a surprisingly good read. (read ~380 chapters rn) I thought this was gonna be a generic "hide my OP power for no reason" kinda read but it gets really interesting as the story goes on. The whole "tame beasts" concept of the novel is over around chapter 50 and he leaves to a MUCH larger world. I'm not really a fan of modern settings but it's not there in the later parts of the novel since the "human race" that the MC spends the first part of the story is like an insignificant spec compared to the larger world. The MC is a battle maniac but the reason why is explained later along with the reason his system is the way it is. Everything is slowly being explained and the MC goes from over the top kinda hot-headed to more mellow and go with the flow as his power slowly reaches the peak of the world. Read about 100 chaps before deciding if this is for you or not

The start of the story was actually really interesting. The MC wasn't really the "MC" cause the story focused on the "human tool"s lives inside and outside the simulator. Almost every life they lived in the simulation has a plot and the fact that they can reset the timeline every time they reenter the simulation after death added a very interesting layer of problem-solving to the story that I hadn't really seen in too many other novels But everything does down the drain from chapter 414 :/ Before this, the human tools had completed the entire storyline of the simulator by killing all the enemies so they got access to a new world that was more dangerous but had much greater rewards. This would have been cool but the author decided to make literally every chapter simulator notifications about what they're doing. Im at 460ish now and this has been the formula for 50+ chapters [ 3 human tools enter the simulation] [100 years, broke through qi refinement] [500 years, foundation establishment] ... ... [10000 years soul formation] [HT1 sees a notification that HT2 has died first in the simulation again] [X years, HT1 dies, the simulation ends] They come out Rewards: Big ass breakthrough for everyone. HT2 is mad that HT1 is at a higher realm than her again 3 paragraphs to see that the MC got the biggest breakthrough of them all HTs enter the simulation again. Rinse and repeat -_- Its honestly a pity since there was actually a decent sense of urgency in the story since a supreme elder from HT1's sect wanted to marry her off, so she ran away and was desperately trying to get stronger. But the supreme elder (Nascent soul, current highest realm in the real world) gets accidentally one shot by HT2 using a one-time use reward when he scares her, and now every HT is 3 realms above the nascent soul. SO what became getting stronger because of an urgent problem, has become collecting realms like they're pokemon cards, and its so bland Tl;Dr, read till 414, then drop cause the later portion really is a waste of time :/

it's a pretty good novel but the only thing that kinda bugged me was how the author randomly decided to switch the style of names from a western to Chinese style seemingly out of nowhere. At first, it was only the MC with a Chinese name which made sense since he was some bigshot that reincarnated in what I thought was a western fantasy world based on the name of the empire and royal family. Even the MC's servants have names you would expect from a western fantasy world. But then it just randomly swaps as if the author couldn't be bothered to continue coming up with more of these names and chose what they were used to and now you suddenly have Xue and He families running around that has suddenly made every previously named character feel out of place. I don't really have a preference for either type of naming style but I would at least hope that you would have a basic enough sense of continuity to not randomly switch mid way. But that's still a pretty minor nitpick in an otherwise very interesting story
