Well let’s hold on for a moment. This is not the og Naruto world, it’s an AI world. Even if that’s not the case it’s entirely feasible to have a Jonin who seems to be pretty high up in the chain of command, to have mastery over 1 element. Especially since we don’t know what is the cap level of elemental manipulation. The way I see it, normal water style jonins shouldn’t really have a problem with Justus till rank c. It’s when it gets to b rank and higher where ability to draw enough water and that to fast gets exponentially tougher.

I don’t feel he needs any. If it’s going to be something might as well be Uzumaki. The Uzumaki can have 3 powers, healing bite, Kaguya of the minds eye, sealing chains. Most have just 1 or 2. Karin was an exception. I believe just having kaguya of the minds eye is great especially since he won’t be a pure Uzumaki. Plus bonus to learning Fuinjutsu. Awesome character build. Any other bloodline would just feel forced or seem to make the mc op. We really don’t want that.

Extremely different from what is generally found on this platform. Definitely intrigued by the what's being playing out in the "real world". How much the AI and the head of the company know about the Naruto world. The motives of those in power. Why is there so less space? Love the in game world mechanics. Definitely worth reading. Has high potential, would it live up to it remains to be seen.

I’m fine with this. Of course I don’t think it should be a finished deal just yet. Naruto should have to work for it, Karin would definitely have some justified trust issues. The interaction between Naruto and ren on this issue would be legendary.

I get what you are trying to do, but in this context it doesn’t work. The outsiders resolve is a slow paced fanfic with alternate world setting. From the very beginning it has been character based. We have a lot of time to get to know a character, understand them. Here, not so much so. In OTS, We see the character from the protagonist’s perspective, the people around them, and also from their own point of view. In my personal opinion, the issue is not with the writing, it’s with the pacing and story development. I get that the 3rd war is on going but that does not mean that the protagonist should go from no talent to already high chunin level talent. In fact it should be slower than normal. Remember, they are at war, that meaning patrolling, endless combat simulations, running ungodly number of errands, on top of that being at all times being combat ready, both mentally and physically. That all means little to no time to train. Remember your own setting, he is a Genin with barely any talent. He is exactly the kind of person who is crushed to fine power in the cogs of war. Him having any level of access to someone like Uchiha Shisui or fugaku is wild, let alone having time off to go train in land of iron. That shit is privilege of the geniuses and prodigies of which he is neither. Also, he needs a mentor. This point I believe will be better explained with an analogy. Supposed someone was dropped in the Amazon. He knows how to setup a tent and start a fire. Do think he is going to survive the Amazon? No, he is not. There is so much more nuance, knowledge, psychology and practical skills that go into this, never mind a war. He needs someone to help fill these gaps. One of the best things outers resolve does is show just how complex to is to be a Shinobi. Whether it’s filing paperwork, equipment management, navigating, using communication equipment. The protagonist is constantly learning, evolving. Getting newer opportunities, promotions, getting to known and being known by important characters.
