Hmm, I don't know about the "Damien probably just forgot things" play. If I remember correctly, The Zadkiels offspring are known to have awakened early and with great talent, Danielle not minding it is a plot hole in my opinion. (previous chapter) Anyway those are just my thoughts and TFTC

I find the fight scenes... weird? I guess you could call this the "Tell not show" where the author only tells the scenes/story not show it to the readers, I couldn't picture the demon or the stake and wires, lastly the fight itself was something hard to imagine, it felt lacking with not much of an oomph, only telling what Bell did. Still enjoyed it though, especially, the family interactions, though maybe develop their characters more so we can feel their interaction and relationship more deeply. Hope you continue to improve, author.

A nice touch of tragedy and character development material for Damien, the part where he says I didn't think of saving people, only the artifact was great, shows how light he thinks about others lives, and barely cares for some of his family members (shown by how he almost abandoned his sister). Hope he changes and be better a person maybe not a hero/saint but at least he would keep his family safe even if he has to become cruel sometimes.

Thanks for the chapter. Will Jiang Chen ascend to an upper world with his family or will he create a hidden family? I think the second choice would be best, he has numerous secrets that can be known only to family, and since Jiang Xingtai already knows, maybe he can help by having loyal guards that would act on Chen's order, like Elder Ge. Just some ideas.

Ah, Sorry I meant only to his family, after all even when he was lying and scheming his uncle still helped without questioning him, so why not tell them that they could be a sovereign family by plundering the heaven son's. But I do agree with how stupid telling the truth to the world, I guess didn't clarify it enough.

I do, a concept of heaven protecting them (heaven's son) through various means. What does it have to do with it?

Thanks for the chapter, though I have to ask, will Jiang Chen continue to pretend like this? I mean he can just say he has special eyes or physique that can see those heaven son's luck and he plunders them just like how cultivators fight for resources. I don't think there is one book (with this villain genre) where the MC just told the truth and he was greedy for heaven son's treasures, I think it would be unique and fresh tbh.

Either make him (mind controller) awakened or change some things about the artifact, add increased defense, like a mana silhouette or barrier for the wearer. Anyway, a great chapter but don't drag the story out, as much as I'd like reading the book, it is frustrating to see an experienced hunter miss her target and not finding the artifact. (I mean how can she not have a detector?) sorry for the tangent, but just my unfiltered thoughts.
