Tbh that was a bad plot...the author did the Kakashi father dirty, his death doesn't make sense and don't align all it amount to was a flashback...i feel the author just bullshitted his way through all plot, neji father,shisui,sakumo,guy father,hell kakashi was weak as fuck, danzo(assassination attempt which by the way was not in manga) and many more...all these characters could have better plot and direction but all got crushed because author decided it could dim the main characters shine.

Yeah absolutely right but you know there's some factors which can affect these 1)preference of commanding officer-one would praise you if they are hard line, while other will punish you cause of morals. 2)POV- For leaf shinobi Takuma did an impossible task due to which they didn't lose their comrades who may have died in the siege operation, while for steam shinobi their village people died so some resentment is there even if they know he did the right thing.
