Heres my thoughts - Serafim Na wanted to beloved and created Lu. But her guard Rei was upset and turned dark eventually became Decratic. Decratic is synonymous with darkness not an individual. Entire sketch on the shifters continent was Rei plan to awake Na in Iris to meet her again. That's why he was waiting and watching in distance.No when he realised his plan didn't work he wants to save Iris and attain her again.
