It was in 2019 that his father's lymphoma was diagnosed. After his father reached a point where he could not put off the tickle in the back of his throat, the weakness that cropped up in his arms and legs, the tingling, the nausea—all the symptoms that a father ignores or dismisses as simply due to exhaustion or 'that old cough'—that does not mean there were no signs prior to 2019, merely that 2019 was when they got too severe to ignore. Have him checked sooner, rather than later. Convince him in a year or two to get annual checkups, convince everyone, pay for it yourself with a job you work to keep them happy before you move forward with your actual dreams. Step 1, health. Step 2, profit. Actually, Step 1 may be to buy up as many cheap buildings in thia village so that when the buy-out happens, you have more starting capital. But that may require more yuan than he has access to and/or is able to convince family to trust him with.
On a standard keyboard, you do not have em/en dashes, you need to use ALT Codes, hit the [ALT] key and while holding it down type 0151 and you get "—" the em dash. [ALT] + 0150 gives en dash "–". On a smartphone, you generally can just press and hold the dash "-" and it gives you options between dash/en/em dashes.
@Author-sama, did you mean 'honed' here? My understanding of 'honed' is that it is used in place of 'sharpened,' while here you are referring to the armor. I believe you intended to use 'donned' which means 'to put on (equipment).'
If only MC had a support spell to boost the Agility of his allies...
Re-reading: Stones, always stones... where are the good ol' vendor carts, ready to be destroyed? My Cabbages!!!
Drunk Me: I'll write that super-clear thought down so I don't forget. What is actually written:
Worried the tank and 2 mages are the OG Tank and Fireball mages from the starter town... odds are low since they were jailed for a few days, but MC is in the 40s while skipping every 3rd day's work—it's possible if they hardcore'd their playstyle and found this guild after getting explosion.
At some point the 'Copper for your troubles' will be more of an insult than a 'Hey, thanks.' Like valet parking where you realize you do not have anything to tip so you reach into the cupholder for 3 sticky pennies and a quarter... I get it, any tip seems better than no tip, but sometimes a 'Thank you for the help' is more beneficial than 'flicking a coin at someone.' Here, 1 copper is still probably worth something, but MC is already paying primarily Silver & Gold, Copper gonna be useless soon enough. 👀
