I was a bit confused at first, but by the tenth chapter the novel lives up to its description. There is a prologue in the first few chapters and the mc talks to an interrogator so it seems like it will be slow. But by the tenth chapter the interrogator practically disappears and it's shockingly fast paced. The mc makes magic and what he makes is humorous. It seems it'll only get more extreme in the future. I'm really enjoying it. If you like smart anti-hero mcs with confidence, this character is prime. The fight scenes are ridiculous, and the characters are enjoyable. So I recommend it. The one downside is the interrogator. While she only shows up for a couple paragraphs every few chapters, I wish she wasn't in it. I'm sure many will agree.
I came from Nerve Network hoping for another wild action novel with a smart mc. I was let down at first. Nightmare is a parody with psychological elements and minimum action. It isn't the same genre. I find it hilarious, but it took awhile to get into because I wanted something else. However, once I came to terms that it wasn't like NN I found it extremely engaging in ways I haven't found on WN. If you're looking for action, read NN. But give this one a shot if you're willing to enjoy a comedy.

This power is sick
I agree. But I can see it lol
Wait! Read Grey’s Labyrinth and don’t skip to MVAP. After reading chapter 39, I’m disappointed knowing that there are only 20 chapters left before the start of MVAP. There’s a never ending build up to this mysterious thing that occurs but once I got to the start of it… hahahaha it is not disappointing whatsoever. Things are about to get wild XD
