alright guys so I know I'm a couple of years late but my own personal speculation is that Arthur did awaken his own ability which is why he has such an affinity towards runes and that while also being the outsider is the reason why jizo chose him to have the legacy
Arthur began researching his runes for answers, but he only ended up with more questions. Where did his power come from? What was he supposed to do with it?
