With the new Soul technique, it seems that Rui’s pathway into the Master Realm will be based on mastering all aspects of time. Angel of Laplace - Past SOUL - Future VOID - Brings together future and past for the present I’m probably wrong on the “Present” aspect of time, so there might be another technique Rui needs to enter the Master Realm.

It’s interesting that they can separate personal from business matters in such an extreme way. Clearly, both of them deeply love Rui and see him as family, but are still capable of treating him as a business partner (as they should) and a potential threat to their “mortal” lives. Sad but also realistic, as Rui pointed out.

This realm is progressing, at least it seems, a lot faster than the squire realm. Although, I have a feeling that it will take the same amount of chapters that we’ve spent in the senior realm so far for Rui to reach the peak of the same realm. Most likely, the amount of time will increase exponentially until the climax and ultimately the transition to the master realm. Despite this, I do think that this pacing is better than the squire realm. The squire realm seemed really drawn out, although I understand that it was mainly to set a solid foundation for conflicts and future developments. Loving the novel so far. Keep up the great work!

Dang, had to absolutely dump on Verdant before the chapter ended.

Yeah I liked the original cover more than the one of the dregs. I think the ominous red-orange color fits the theme of the novel a lot more, whereas the one of the dregs made it seem like it was only an apocalyptic setting. That, or it made it seem like it was set in Brazil with all the favelas. Enjoying the novel a lot so far and I’m eager to see what Nick’s new mutation will be in the future.

I always thought that a warrior/cultivator who only used the basics would be a cool idea. They would just perfect it to a level where it trumps all. This would probably be a better concept in “true” cultivation novels with concepts/laws as a representation of power. Where, as an example, you start of with the element of fire, learn about all the different aspects of fire like heat, explosiveness, etc., then combine it back into the initial aspect of just fire. My point is, I can see aspects of that in Jorah’s fighting style. Although not as exciting, as stated in the text, is just as if not more promising than a fantastic finish.
