The Trade Federation was a megacorporation that worked as an interstellar shipping and trade conglomerate. It grew so powerful during the waning years of the Galactic Republic, that it had its own representatives in the Galactic Senate. Founded in 350 BBY during the High Republic Era, it rose to prosperity in the Outer Rim and maintained its own private military. Over time, it became locked into a power struggle with the Republic that raged on for decades as the Federation grew in size, prestige, and power under the Neimoidian species. Following the Clone Wars, the Galactic Empire allowed the Federation to remain in existence in vestigial form until its disestablishment upon the dissolution of the Imperial Senate.

The InterGalactic Banking Clan (IGBC), also known simply as the Galactic Banking Clan or as the Banking Clan, was a financial commerce guild in the galaxy that was governed by the Core Five from the Main Vault located on the world of Scipio. During the waning days of the Galactic Republic, it was one of the most important organizations in the Outer Rim. The InterGalactic Banking Clan survived into the reign of the Galactic Empire, but the guild found itself embroiled in a series of trade wars with the Hutt Clan.

The Corporate Sector Authority, commonly abbreviated to CSA, was a corporate authority that controlled the Corporate Sector, which was located in the galaxy Outer Rim Territories. All economic, political and judicial systems were controlled by member corporations or corporate interest, who were charted to directly administer the sector. Expanding the Corporate Sector Authority Security Police, the CSA made use of militarized forces to enforce its jurisdiction during the New Republic Era. The CSA and its forces allied with the First Order and put down a revolt on Basta Core. By the time of the Cold War, the Corporate Sector Authority monetarily supported the First Order.

Czerka Arms, also known as the Czerka Corporation, was an arms manufacturer that produced the Adventurer slugthrower rifle, which was used by the bounty hunter Aurra Sing during the final decades of the Galactic Republic. They also manufactured combat gear, such as the ACH-14 advanced combat helmet. Czerka Arms made heavy use of slave labor and employed extensive mechanisms to both prevent slave escapes and recapture those who did. Princess Fanry of the planet Pijal described the Czerka Corporation as being nearly as powerful as the Galactic Senate. Czerka was thousands of years old and rumored by some to be older than the Republic itself.
