and as i said before in previous chapter, ts is complete bs or devil politics are au. it doesn’t matter if jayden may be stronger then riser, he is not on the level where he could just strong hand the decision, and the marriage is between gremory and phenex is not only about finding strong partner for their children but also allyship of the two families. so in what aspect jayden is a better candidate then riser as he rn can’t prove he has a political resources to be a better ally then phenex. and again, sirzechs said it himself he abandoned gremory name, and he doesn’t have a sway to freely choose spouses for devil heirs, it between houses to make marriages and arrangements and just cause some no name came to sirzechs and said he will be a better candidate doesn’t me he can actually interfere. how would devil nobles react when their satan started dictating who they marry or who their children marry

i really don’t understand this development, like it is so absurd that it’s actually funny. whole point of rias marriage was that phenex clan insisted upon it with lord gremory agreement. it was a political decision made to strengthen both families. lucifer as mentioned in orginal dxd couldn’t really interfere outright because he gave up the gremory name and was now acting leader of devil. now jayden a normal human, nobody has heard of him, he has no feats not political influence comes out and says that he doesn’t agree with rias marriage partner because he isn’t sutaible husband material( who tf in devil race looks at that) and challenges him to a fight out of blue, under the decision of lucifer(again why tf does he interfere with this) now i know that you can probably make some reasoning behind this in another chapter but for me that’s just a stupid plot development

honestly idk what to think about this development. on one side i don’t like that he constantly says he doesn’t know or can’t help them, he knows that joining the peerage will allow them to win so he can in fact help them. but i also get that he doesn’t want to abandon his humanity, he comes from dxd world and such he doesn’t have the knowledge of canon which could help him make that decision. so abandoning his race is difficult. but i think that he does love rias as of now, and he got to know her character. if he doesn’t want to loose her he should set his mind and join her. i just hope it doesn’t develop into some cliche drama where he lets her loose and doesn’t join her and then fights phenex clan as a human cause he is not that strong to even try it and mix into devils politic without being a devil
