still wouldn't make sense. people were capable of critical thinking even before the modern education system. having wheat that can be grown 4x per month rather than 1-2x per year is definitely very sus, even an idiot can figure that out.

he mentioned the most basic info. absolutely nothing technical. what I am surprised is that the inhabitants of that world didn't already knew about them. in am pretty sure crop rotation and water wheel based saws and several other inventions were used in the early medieval era. aqueducts, masonry, brick/concrete making and irrigation goes back to early classical era. selective breeding goes back to almost stone age.
