i critique this novel a lot but it’s actually quite good, it would be better if the MC lost a bit more or gets done one over by an evil god though.

he already knew that corrupting chief judge Wei was black tuo’s long term plan, why is he so surprised

when it comes to evil god connections like this, the mc suddenly loses his brain cells and trusts the higher-ups too much. in every other aspect he’s very smart and cunning, but he tends to completely give up caution at random points and it always pertains to info about evil gods that only he knows. he knew that the point of the divine blood was to corrupt the second chief judge, and here the same judge ‘miraculously’ survives despite losing two cities to blood sacrifices, yet our usually intelligent MC doesn’t think twice about it

this is why the whole challange thing is so dumb… why is it possible to waste months or years of resources on someone who only wins a challenge because they’re older instead of nourishing the younger talent

in th first place isn’t it weird that three people of incredible talent came from the same slummy place
