The first thing I'd do would be to go to Reddit and be like "you can have any 3 powers you want, you're average at everything and the more op the power the more energy it'll consume. Create the most broken combo." boom! Now if your post gets traction you'll have a bunch of no lifers debating and cursing at each other to create the most broken build. You just chill back and pick the one that fits you best.

The reason why he can't adapt to the burnout yet is because, from my understanding when that part of the brain is destroyed you can't use your CT and since his adaptation is his CT he can't use it.

Well honestly I'm not sure how I feel about this, on one side the MC is not special anymore, on the other side we can compare who uses the power better and that he's not just getting carried by a op ability. Let's not give out any final verdicts just yet and let the author cook.
