I agree, I don't understand why the authors choose to have their main characters born into the Hyuga clan, and then their characters don't act like Hyuga (in terms of combat). I especially don't understand why they all strive for the Tenseigan. The Byakugan is literally the eyes of all pure-blooded Ōtsutsuki, so I don't understand why the authors underestimate it.
