Speak of the devil.
Hey, nice start. I was halway expecting Obito to keep meeting with the elderly in need of help one after another on his way to academy. There's not much else to say I guess so far but character feel real and considering the mind demon Obito is going to meet, the first scene is a good setup for that.
Oh, you noticed that? Well, I don't mind answering. Thing is, no one really seemed to be reading there, so I thought that posting there seemed kind of pointless. Even though uploading doesn't take much time, it was draining to do so. As for whether Kakuzu can copy Tenten's talent or not, answer is unfortunately negative. Apart from some specific ones [like it happened with Sora], Jiongu can't absorb kekkei genkais.
Right, no slaves. Absolutely. In fact, african- I mean, black market management team should put up a sign right at the entrance to clarify. With big letters - "There are definitely no slaves sold here. Especially not the elven ones." That should keep the medieval CIA at bay, I think.
That is a good question. He could, but there are reasons why he can't and won't.Satori is a tremendous creature. And in turn, his heart is also huge. If Kakuzu decided to make it his inner heart (Etc, a heart that directly strengthes him), than he has to fix the size issue.Second, the beast won't be anywhere near powerful enough if it is made by normal spirits. I would compare Satori's heart to a powerful generator. Power output it can achieve is on another level than most human spirits can. And it is much more stable as well. However, to properly make use of it, it requires bigger vessel. And if Kakuzu tries to contain it in himself, it will be inefficient.
Sure, that can work in long term. But taking out large amount of prisoners would arise suspicion. Since he needs insurance against Kabuto, who is constantly becoming a bigger threat, that is not a game Kakuzu has leisure to play. By the way, after a certain point, crooks that are thrown in the Blood Prison, will become less and less useful as power ceiling continues to rise.
That is an interesting idea. But Kakuzu is rather pressed on time right now.
What I can say for certain is that difference in strength isn't huge. However keep in mind how the fight between Kakuzu and Kakashi and then Naruto turned out, who at this point are weaker than Sasuke, I sincerly doubt Sasuke is way stronger than Kakuzu. Also, keep in mind that Kakuzu wasn't nececarilly going all out. At the same time he had no intention of killing Sasuke.
A naive way to think about Uchiha massacre. Things aren't as simple as they are made out to be here.
I think you might've gotten wrong expectations about this fic. Antihero is someone who lacks heroic qualities, but that doesn't mean they do everything solely for their benefit. I'm not writting about heartless person doing cruel things just for his personal benefit. If that's your thing, you will be dissapointed in my story. That out of the way, if you're still interested, I can give you an explanation about why Daniel did things this way. This is my first fanfic, so I might've not portrayed things properly. Daniel replaced Kakuzu. It's basic setup you've probably seen countless times. Guy dies and his soul transmigrates into somebody from different world. That's it. Now why save Asuma you ask and risk changes in timeline? Answer is that Daniel doesn't think of it as a big deal. He saved Asuma, because he's a strong shinobi. Saving him only cost him delaying a fight for a while, so he had no reason not to do it. Also, Daniel isn't going to kill Asuma for Shikamaru's character development. That just doesn't fit a character I'm trying to write about.
