I'm not too sure yes the MC was good as a leader in some aspects but the ones he lead were mostly through either fear or them being already being zealots so i don't think he would be the best for recruiting as much as his commanders did most of the recruitment

hmm interesting choice freedom and adventure versus rebellion and freedom for all and be hard to choose but it is likely MC will choose the harder path to help both right wrongs and redeem himself
