I found your novel yesterday and binged it all the way through. How do I give compliments without making it sound like it's all perfect and there's no room for improvement? LOL... OK, let me try this. I really enjoy that you take your time painting a full picture where it's needed, and know when to skip ahead. Your writing gives us glimpses into actual interactions, allowing us to get to know the characters well, not just in battle or action. I really appreciate that; so many writers think that "always in action" is the way to go - but it gets tiresome and dull. I also appreciate that you're staying true to the EU/Legends universe, do your research and actually capture the characters, places, and events the right way. They feel authentic and believable. So, I want to say thank you for all of that - and I'll make sure to follow your story, you've got one more happy reader in me.
Owen Lars was alright and his overprotectiveness served Luke well, but under these new circumstances he is not needed. Hopefully.
The Resol'nare (Six Actions) never speak of helmet. That's another silly thing from writers who didn't have a clue what they're talking about.
Out of all SW characters, I love Kal the most.
That was some 40 years later, when she passed her ancient lightsaber over to Leia. At that point Vima's mind was completely gone.. most likely due to grief of not being able to save her daughter. Which, I guess, we'll see changed very soon.
Amen and Hallellujah!
The truly fearsome characteristic of Wilhuff Tarkin wasn't his command of the Death Star. It was, instead, his determination and strategic foresight. As the author of the so-called "Tarkin Doctrine", he managed to achieve something great though terrifying. Many can control population of an entire world through overwhelming force, cruel punishment, and terror. Wilhuff Tarkin was capable of controlling population of an entire world through their fear of overwhelming force, cruel punishment, and of terror. Meaning, he only had to employ those things once or twice, and terrified everyone so thoroughly that their fear kept them from even attempting anything. He was a cold heartless evil b*stard, but a great strategist and a master of psychological warfare. He played multidimensional chess while common military leaders played checkers.
Crossguard monstrosity that doesn't "guard" against anything anyway? No thank you.
I know it's a typo, but for a moment "Mac Windu" made me imagine Sam Jackson speaking with a thick Scottish accent..
