That’s not true either maybe from the depiction of the tv show but if you’ve read the books she was always psychotic. Joffrey was a tool to her dream an obsession if you will he himself wasn’t important it was that she had control over him. That’s why she let the rest of her kids be married off or die with little to no care. If he gets it the way of that she would definitely kill him
