He hasn't yet felt any bottleneck for now. However, going from beginner to intermediate mage is not easy. he would have to come up with something. Currently, Zephyr is growing horizontally since he can't grow vertically. Star rating is not that complicated, its rank thats actually important. He can be 2 star mage when he has 2 star mage equivalent of mana.(About 8000 of his cores). it just a way of measuring threat/strength. Currently, there is nothing limiting Zephyr from making 8000 cores. He just needs time, peace and mana. He is developing his own way of magic. An example is that ---- a 1 star goblin or a 1 star knight won't have the same amount of mana as a 1 star mage, but they would be comparable in threat. Technically, Zephyr is already a threat similar to 2 star mage since his mana core could hold multiple spells and cast them at the same time. The analogy would be similar to a CPU's througput vs A GPU's throughput. There is nothing stopping him from releasing all his mana, instantly while normal mages have to limit themselves according to the spell. Simply put, in a battle, he would be just better. I don't want to reveal spoilers, so I will leave it at that.
