By not critical, I mean not in much danger while the Poison-type hit Psychic for neutral damage. This is the real world, so when she took the attack head-on, it hit extra hard. So it was super effective (Not in pokemon terminology but just as a normal super effective.)

Skill is only one, but all Pokemon have an innate skill. So even if it knows only 1 Skill, it practically has two. I might change this in newer chapters though. Not sure yet.

I think I explained this in an earlier chapter, during the starting of the story. 'Friendly Battles' don't have much in levelling if at all. One of the reasons Eve is at this level is because she had some good battles tho. Remember the last chapter? The Honey Trap? If you read the wording of that chapter, it is not the first time Alan and Eve have used that combo. All things added have brought them to level 22. But this will be more now that they can freely battle in the wild or some serious battles with other trainers or gym battles. I hope this answers your question.
