I think maxi does have a fancy wardrobe, but she's just never allowed to wear the dresses and jewellery unless she's in front of people 🤔

I think she would, she did try to protect her growing up by perfect so the Duke wouldn't have to beat maxi to use her as. an example. even if it was twisted, she still tried. Plus once she's out of the croyso household she won't need him or have to answer to him anymore.

Maxi cleared her throat, then gripped the hilt of the dagger at her waist with fumbling fingers. She wanted to unsheathe it gracefully, but yanking the blade from the tightly encased leather scabbard proved difficult.
