It may seem that way, but you have to remember that Kael is in a random mountain range on a random continent in a massive world. If I paced this any slower, it would appear extremely slow. And the reason he seems so powerful is that the backwater clan he was born into doesn't know how to counteract his techniques. Might as well take advantage of the MC's personality to be a little lazy every now and again. lol.
So today, Kael was scheduled to meet his team and head out into the forest. His team was among the first troops to be sent. When he arrived at the north gate of the clan, which was tall and imposing, with a statue of a drake on either side. He saw his team was composed of 3 men and 2 women. Kael approached the group, and a series of introductions followed, though Kael didn't bother committing any of them to memory; after all, what's the point of remembering a bunch of dead men. - Albasbhoy1yrReplied to IiILoVeMe

Kael Doesn't see they point in using a low level clan for this. After all, why do that when he can move to a better more advanced area and just enslave one of their clans to work for him. I have found myself taking inspiration from several evil protagonist novels. I am going to try and make the novel as original as I can with my own ideas. Just to be clear although I'll sometimes take inspiration from these novels I'll never just flat out copy them. Thank you for reading and commenting!
