He was Su Wan's husband, as her husband it was his responsibility to take care of her, and protect her when she was in trouble but how was he supposed to protect her when the danger she was in was because of him? Why? Why did his mother have to make the decision? She had no right to make decisions regarding Su Wan's life and death, who was she!

Actually, to me it males sense. For someone so smart he can be very stupid. Even after his sister, he still has not learned a lesson about putting his wife first.
