At least with what I’ve currently read up to (chapter 47) the story has been great so far. It’s a bit slower paced in that the events of cannon haven’t happened yet, but the author is very good at developing the story in a way that wasn’t seen in the source material, and characters that also weren’t mentioned or shown much (like Sebastian) but still makes perfect sense.

I know it’s for plot, but it really just makes no sense. The system can put a mark on him and force him to come back from wherever he is so the MC doesn’t need to worry about him running away, yet he’s worried that he’ll run away and not get the 1 million magic crystals to pay his debt?…
