The gravely voices are usually because of the harsh conditions and sniffing ash all day, not really a problem for most of the nobles

Even if their version wasn't a massively nerfed one, who is he to take it? Like sure his ancestor may have given them the power in the first place but his ancestor was also a massive dickhead so Reyvin should reasonably not have enough pride in him to try and "reclaim" the power.
