For those who wanted a continuation, the author mentioned that he wanted the MC to revive later on by having his soul be absorbed by one of those demons that appeared in the later half of Fairy tail, only to have its body absorbed by the MC instead. While nothing was actually written, you can think of how a situation like that would have unfolded.
