King's eyes darken and he grabbed Xiang Kai by the neck. His feet were dangling in the air and he was trying to unloosen King's hold but it was impossible. His pheromones were so destructive that even the security hired for the party didn't dare to approach. Cillian stood between him and Xiang Kai and held his face. King was looking toward him but it was like he was looking through him at Xiang Kai.

This also feels so much worse knowing that Cillian has been of a Celestial mindset for 1,189 years and to suddenly be flooded with emotions and memories… WOOO! The emotional rollercoaster he must be feeling.
Cillian hugged him tightly like he was scared he might escape. That's because he is. He's scared someone might take him away from him. No matter what the Celestial plan on doing with him he won't let them take the one he loves.

King. Castle. I’m laughing but I love it.
Cillian was surprised to see that King literally lives in a castle. He couldn't understand why he would have a Gala in his home before but now he does. He has a castle meaning there's a ballroom to host a gala. And here he thought he liked to live opulently... When they got out of the car he looked up admiring the magnificent castle. He could tell that it was old but it was beautifully preserved. Huang yelled when Cillian didn't move:

He knows his reputation as well, everyone does. Huang is way too open about it. Apparently, his mental health has steadily declined since his father passed and he sees a psychiatrist regularly. Huang said that it's unfortunately not helping and that he's only become worst. He added that he's worried he is a danger to himself that's why he always has someone at his side. Despite that, he still follows his friend's will and always brings him to the company to work even if he only spends his time doing things unrelated to the company.

As he listened to Xiang Kai describing the young man his mood turned sour. With the way, he described him King was sure that he indeed loved him, but this isn't any young man this is his Cillian!
