Well nonetheless it was also true that usually author use this plot device for only that purpose. Beside for that purpose, whether it is mentality, character development, logical behavior and so on, author would usually ignore this isekai fact, making the transition seem awkward and Mc as stupid naive.

I thought I had reviewed this previously. Maybe it was another site. Anyway I had read this previously raw. So I won't be commenting about this translated one. About the novel it is worth the read. It might seem baffled for a time since the cultivation system itself was based on him making it up. To some extend it was only in the late stage that he properly created the cultivation method. Anyway objectively, this novel is not considered great masterpiece, but it does everything it set out to do. Character development was good. The interaction was funny. The face slap was good. The pacing... Well it was decent. The world building was well described. No plot hole as far as I remembered it. Side character is properly explored. As self proclaimed 'ancestor' level powerhouse, he does flex his muscle when he needed to. And it was indeed a great scene provided we ignore his actual situation. Which sometimes makes me laugh thinking about it..but for his disciple and outsiders he was indeed OP. Overall it was a good read.

Agreed. Many gems were buried somewhere here. There's also many author who could write good first 30 chap or first 100chap but ended following the same pattern as ED novel route. Like some have decent shop and system etc as its original attraction only to end up with typical and stereotypes cultivation and conquest for power, totally ignoring original theme. That's just one example

okay now i formally drop reading this novel at 525. probably mainly because my fav characters died in stupid manner... but objectively, despite being a cultivation novel, this novel was rather weak. they use extravagant title like earth immortal, true immortal, golden immortal and whatnot. but what different between these top power and cultivator who just started is just power level. sure it use sophisticated description for so-called powerful move but in the end it's just that. i mean even if they reach such powerful altitude, they cannot communicate with others from far distance, cannot diversify a single attack move into AOE attack despite increase in power, dozens of paragraphs just to describe a single time that happen in a moment, dozens of paragraph to introduce inconsequential characters that die in the next moment, cannot cross void space, cannot teleport, despite discovering only 4 dangerous area (similar to forbidden areas in other novels) that everyone regardless of cultivation level can enter, they still didn't explore the whole area after thousands of years, and worse, they overlook a simple entrance in those areas which become a weak point for invaders to invade human world thus ultimately killing my fav character. so I must emphasize, despite being 'immortal' they are too stupid and the story only focus on skills and hoarding resources when it come to cultivation. too primitive if you ask me. so yeah, overtime I somehow able to endure complaints to keep reading, but this is my limit. not worth it anymore. so I'm dropping.
