I didn't mean 'death' as a concept but as part of rebirth, creation, and destruction. The Phoenix Force is not a being that only gives life, it also takes life so that it may be reborn. It understands that life/creation cannot exist as a singular concept without a force to balance it out, i.e. death/destruction.

As the inheritor of the Phoenix Force, Jean didn't just represent life but also death and destruction, and one could not exist without the other. It was only a matter of time until she would have to face this universal truth.

    Basically yes, Lol

Instead, it was Gwen that I was observing intently. The foxy blonde wasn't just highly intelligent, she also had incredible guts, daring to follow behind the two combatants even as a normal baseline human without any combat training or experience.

He can turn off his pain receptors, he just choses not to.

Once again calling onto the power bestowed to me by my nameless benefactor, I focused on what I wanted to achieve next as I activated Self-Creation again, to grant myself another power. This time though in comparison to before the pain was neither short nor bearable.

Well, to be more precise the stored energy will not be expended by his actions other than when he actively releases it. But the accumulation is very slow in normal cases and it takes a LOT of energy to turn this into real strength, which makes his next move an ingenious one.

The most important aspect of this ability, and also one of the reasons that it was an Omega-level ability, was that there existed no upper limit to the amount of energy that this matrix could contain as it would constantly strengthen itself with the influx of energy, while at the same time making me stronger and stronger, invincible even.

    You are both correct.

Still, the fact that I could take the lives of hundreds without being affected, was also something that made me feel as if I had taken another step away from my humanity, which was besides the fact that revenge ultimately proved itself a very hollow concept in itself.

Are you serious? How often do you want to comment this? At the start of the story I explained already that I changed his power to the Omega-level and didn't go with the comics.

She was an Omega-level mutant herself, as was Xavier, but neither of them could find the words to refute Hank's statement as the prowess the young mutant had displayed was just way beyond the scale of what a normal Omega-level mutant could do given the time that had passed since his awakening.

And when Elijah's feline figure once again moved past her, she lost the feeling of his soft fur on her naked skin for a moment before two strong arms wrapped themselves around her waist, lifting her up and bringing her into her love's warm embrace as he stepped under the stream of hot water with her.

Well, the Ancient One doesn't care about 'humanity' in my opinion, she just cares about the Earth Dimension. Political games and conflict between countries aren't really of interest to her as they have nothing to do with her duty as the Sorcerer Supreme.

Not really. he didn't change the mass of the moon or its shape in any meaningful way. Like the craters that already exist on it, he just changed the surface a bit.

"Because I love you. And I wanted you to know that.", he replied, a quiet smile causing the corners of his lips to curve up. His thumb brushed softly over her lips while his other hand came to rest on her backside possessively: "And now you do."

Ahh, the Inhumans? It will be some time before they might appear, not sure about that though. Still, the chances are good :D

My sense of hearing though was strengthened to such a degree that I could 'hear' even in Outer Space if I did not suppress my senses. Realizing this, even I found this to be simply inhuman.

Yeah, his power jump is simply incredible. The funny thing is that the difference between him and Multiversal-Existences hasn't decreased that dramatically though as they are the real 'gods'. So he still has a long way to go.

    True.

To be entirely truthful, while they were both Omega-level telepaths, he had basically zero talent for psionic manipulation. Even after decades as a telepath, the best Charles could manage was to move a few pieces of paper with his mind and turn the page of a book if he was feeling lazy.

    Exactly

Considering that almost every telepath's power came from an innate ability to manipulate another's mind through the use of psionic energy, and the fact that he was an Omega-level telepath himself, Charles was naturally very sensitive to the changes in the omnipresent ambient psionic energy field.

More like an agglomeration of the darkest black fog with a humanoid shape

My soul still had a humanoid form but instead of looking like a mirror of my physical form, it was made up of a deep, lightless darkness. My own soul looked like a living shadow, an existence made out of pure darkness.

And even though I wanted freedom more than anything else, I was not arrogant enough to believe that I could cheat my way around the laws that governed reality. At least not at this point in time.
