Li Xiaojun, a 20-year-old game addict and part-time delivery guy, has always been a sucker for those "overpowered system gacha" novels he reads during his lunch breaks. In real life, however, he’s stuck in a dead-end job, barely scraping by in the overcrowded, city of Newer Borealis in the year 2030. His only real joy comes from playing his favorite MMO, "Murim Conquest," where he constantly gets beaten by kids with better gear and deep pockets. One day, after an unfortunate accident involving his bike, a vending machine, and a noodle shop's mascot robot, Xiaojun wakes up to find himself in a strange, futuristic world that looks suspiciously like Murim Conquest—except it’s not a game, it's real.
